I always had clear and youthful skin, I never struggled with acne even throughout school. Many classmates had bad skin, all different kinds of acne and skin irritations.
Not able to relate, ignorantly, I concluded that this must something they accepted to be second nature as it was always there and it seemed there was nothing they could do about it. I did feel bad all the same.
The “I get it now” moment
When I was in my early 20s, I started to get acne, it wasn’t bad, a few here and there. But like most, I focused on it, picked at it, making the blemish even bigger and uglier. What was once hardly noticeable was now a mad volcano erupting and damaging my skin around it...continue
It bothered me, a lot.
Desperately, I tried all different products to dry it out, prevent it, hide it, and of course with an unreasonable expectation of overnight.
When something different work, I would combine products, this of course made it worse. As acne started to become an everyday thing, I started reacting to it daily. My skin over time got dry, looked washed out, lost its suppleness and I remember feeling like, this is my life now. Get use to it, as it will become second nature for me as well.
Suddenly, I can relate to my classmates, but on the bright side, at least I wasn't alone.
What I knew, but didn't experience for myself until now
Truth is, you are reminded every time you go someplace, people stare. Every time you look in the mirror. It’s hard to look past it. It hurt my self-esteem and my confidence was shot.
Trying more products, but this time giving them time work, I started to find things that helped relieved it and learned to spot products that would solve one problem and possibly create another. Understanding my skin, was key.
With more knowledge, and continued curiosity I began to experiment with natural plant based products, creating my own oil blends and solutions that was tailored to my skin.
As my obsession about my skin grew, so did my need to try more things, (that wasn’t even acne focused) it was healthy focused. I need to feed my skin nutrition to keep it young, bright, and clear.
My skin started to glow, feel soft, supple, youthful, and clear. It still does to this day.
Regularly, people asked me about my regimen and complimented my skin. Someone even suggested, I need to bottle it.
A co-worker asked me one day about it, I told her I make my own, and its quite the complicated regimen but I feel its worth taking care of my skin (it is the largest organ we have). She asked if she could try it too. Her skin was badly dehydrated, it was dry, chapped, red and she suffered from severe acne.
That night, I went home and simplified it so the regimen became practical, and modified the blend based on her skin needs and gave it to her on Thursday. Having that Friday off, I saw her next on Monday. Her skin had already looked healthier, it was clearing, looked supple and most importantly she was very happy with the results.
Seeing her smile, receive compliments, and gain her confidence was an incredible feeling. And since then, I've continued to supply her with her own custom formula.
And, that’s how it all started. I continued with my research and experimented further and was able to help several individuals with different skin problems.
I am not a doctor, I am not curing conditions or diseases, but I had success using simple plant based ingredients and stumbled across something remarkable that I want to share with others.
